Although rarely seen, if this problem does occur on some of the pens, please disassemble the pen by pulling the silver pen tip out of the pen barrel, check whether the refill inside the barrel has become loose, twist the refill until it goes back to its position. You will then find the pens not retract and function just as supposed to.
